Our Story

Fendo Golf was built to challenge what golfers prioritize. The game obsesses over distance. We built around the part that actually decides the round.

  • The journey

    to Fendo began...

Connor Gans and Dave Murrell met in college in North Carolina. By 2016 they were roommates in Atlanta, building sales careers, and spending most weekends on a golf course.

Like most friends with day jobs, they talked about building something of their own. Most of those ideas never left the bar napkin. But the itch stuck around — and so did the golf.

  • Fast Forward to 2021,

    the lightbulb went off.

They looked at their own bags. The driver got the attention. The wedge got whatever was left.

Nobody was building anything for the part of the game that actually decided their scores. So they decided to.

  • That's where the

    story begins.

They set out to build a tool that did one job well: get the grooves clean, fast, and make it something a golfer would actually want on their bag - not hide in it.

From 2021 to now, the road has been less straight line, more bunker shot. Market research. Patents. Engineers, lawyers, manufacturers, prototype after prototype. None of it glamorous. All of it necessary.

They weren't trying to build the next big golf brand. They were trying to build the thing they couldn't find.

If you would have asked us back in 2021...

"We would've told you to prepare for takeoff the same year we started," said Connor. "There was an immeasurable amount of work behind the scenes neither of us was prepared for as first-time entrepreneurs."

"We rolled with the punches and learned from our mistakes," Dave added. "It's amazing how much of the trial and error got us here."

The GS1 is the first piece. It won't be the last. Fendo is two guys who believed the short game deserved more - and decided to build it themselves.
